So I went to Dollarama to add to my Write-The Room center:

A clipboard for everyone!

I now have a class set of clipboards , and some cute tubs to hold them in.

Here's my class, hard at work.

They copy everything! Book titles, names from the attendance chart, the map of Canada, the weather chart, labels, the calendar...you name it.

Since I carry a clipboard around a lot {see posts here and here}, students often say to me "Now I'm just like the teacher!"

Need a five to ten minute filler that gets students moving? That makes them explore their literacy-rich environment? That provides them an opportunity to practice their writing skills?
