Every Easter I use "resurrection eggs" as a visual when telling the Easter story.
They are dollar store plastic eggs, which I've pre-filled with items relating to the Easter story.
I tell the Bible story, then ask my students what could be in the Easter egg that relates to today's Bible story. {I do one each lesson.}The resurrection eggs make for a lesson where all students are engaged, because they l-o-v-e to try and guess what's inside!

JUDAS' PLOT
Judas agrees to help Jesus' enemies in exchange for thirty pieces of silver:

JESUS IS CAPTURED
Jesus is captured in front of His disciples, is bound and taken away:

JESUS IS CRUCIFIED
Pontius Pilate turns Jesus over to the crowd, who choose to crucify Him and hang Him on the cross:

THE RESURRECTION
Jesus was buried in a tomb. On the third day, HE AROSE:
