All About Me | Back to School Activities for Kindergarten

Our 'Getting to Know You' activity featuring our 'student of the day'! The students LOVE this activity, and it is great practice for spelling student names...and of course, making everyone feel special!

Here is the pocket chart, filled in by our person of the day! We interviewed them, then filled in the chart:

Their name was cut apart, and a friend was chosen to 'fix' the name.

We cheered their name. The class reached into their pockets and pulled out their 'invisible' pompoms to cheer with, and the person of the day used real ones. 

They made a picture of the person of the day, and wrote the students' name underneath.

When making their pictures, students had to think of details about the person: hair color, what they're wearing, what color eyes they have, etc.
