I posted {here} about our first round of Literacy Activities. Considering it was the first round, things went well :) As I mentioned in that earlier post, I am excited that this round of activities builds on the first, and that most activities are similar so I don't need to spend lots of time explaining how to do them.
Best of all, they spiral through the year, so students keep coming back to core learning skills as they extend their knowledge!

Then, I planned a year's worth of rounds that have 5 stations each which include these skills:
1)Writing 2)Listening to reading 3) Word work (sight words) 4) Phonics/alphabet 5) Phonemic awareness
The packs are laid out, week by week, for the entire month. They include 5 stations for students to rotate through per week, with all of the components you’ll need for each activity.
Assessment tools are included to help keep learning on track and to keep your students accountable.
Learning is spiraled throughout the month, to help students build on their prior learning.

Name Activities
I made a little class book for everyone that has each student's picture and a blank space to print their names.
I made cards of each student, including their picture and name.
In this activity, students take a card, find that person in their booklet, and copy their name!
A great way to get to know the class!
Listening Center
This week's book is Silly Sally.
Write the Room
We are using my Back to School Write the Room pack for this round.
The cards have numbers on them, and students need to search the room for cards and print the word beside the corresponding number.
Because they have to match the words to numbers this round, it is adding an extra skill. {In our first round of Write the Room, they could just print letters anywhere on their pages}.
The Back to School pack can be found {here}.
Rainbow Writing
Students search for and stamp the focus letters, using different colored Bingo daubers.
Then they take letter cards and trace over the dashed letters 5 times, using 5 different colors of markers= rainbow writing!
Markers AND Bingo daubers in one center= fun!
The Rainbow Writing Pack can be found {here}.
Writing Books
Students are continuing on in their writing books by copying the letter B words. It is from Michelle's pack {here}.
Do you have a blank template for the names booklet? My kinders would love that and I just printed out all of their pictures!
