Math Work Stations

Math work stations allow for hands-on practice of various math skills that have been covered, at the students' own pace.

Here are the stations that are going on right now in my classroom:

WORKING WITH 5 FRAMES

This *freebie* is a fun activity from Abby Mullins, and can be found {here} Students draw a card, then make it on their 5 frame. This activity uses 2 colors of apples...red and blue {my colored ink was running out, so they came out blue instead of green!}

FALL PATTERNS

This is a set I got from Scholastic. It includes task cards and fall manipulatives, where students create and extend the patterns shown.

FALL FILE FOLDER ACTIVITIES

I found lots of *free* file folder activities online. Some of the ones pictured above allow students to work on shapes, matching, sequencing, and one-to-one correspondence.

PLAY-DOH SHAPE MATS

This *free* set of Play-Doh shape mats are from Confessions of a Homeschooler, and can be found {here}

BUILD-A-CLOCK

Always a favorite activity, this station features a blank clock and lots of Velcro numbers. Students build a clock by attaching the numbers in the right spaces. This *freebie* is from Jessica Williamson, and can be found {here}

ROLL & STAMP

This page is part of my Let It Roll! dice games pack for all year long. Students take turn rolling a die, then highlighting the number on their page. The first one to finish their page is the winner.
