What's stretchier and more fun than bubble gum, right?!
My students are using their stretching skills to focus on every letter's sound.
In this activity they are using blank gumball word mats to stretch the words, listening for each letter's sound. I dictate a word {from the word list} and they show what sound they heard first, in the middle, and at the end of the word.
Here students are using letter tiles. We use letter magnets too. They're doing a great job!

I love the stretchy gum picture! It gives a perfect visual reminder to s-t-r-e-t-c-h out the words :)
We're starting with CVC words. I also have mats with 4 gumball spaces {as seen below}, so we can work on CCVC and CVCC words. Word Lists are included for these kinds of words too!
These pics show CVC words. I also have cards with CVCC and CCVC words!
Students then copy the words onto their recording page
In this activity students sort gumball words by their vowel and putting them into the correct gumball machine!
A worksheet is provided so students can copy the words into the correct gumball machine.
Your students will LOVE stretching out the words!
And they will feel so successful because they can READ!
What an adorable and purposeful bunch of activities! I'm going to head your store to get this great set! Thank you!
