It is so important to connect with students through these little daily conversations.
This pack includes charts that are to be done together, with back-and-forth conversation between the students and teacher and as a whole group together.
As I mentioned before, I was bored with the messages. I seemed to write the same thing every day..."Today is X, The weather is Y, Today we will Z." I knew I needed to make some changes to spice them up!
During Morning Message time, students are learning left-to-right progression, that letters make sounds, and that sounds make words. They see that there are spaces between words and that sentences have punctuation. They see the teacher model writing, and learn that writing is about putting ideas on paper.
Students have their own copy to fill in using clipboards and pencils as they see me do my chart. They love having their own personal copy! The charts offer lots of differentiation, as students can write or draw their answers.
This pack includes activities that focus on student names, alphabet letters, uppercase and lowercase letters, sentences, punctuation, and SO much more! There are a list of jobs for students to do, which will keep the entire class busy and engaged. The pack is EDITABLE, which means that you can type in whatever you'd like!
