I LIKE ME!
The book I Like Me! by Nancy Carlson is a PERFECT read aloud companion for themes about feelings, growth mindset, and self esteem! These book activities and printables will help your Kindergarten and First Grade students dig deeper into the story and make wonderful text to self connections!
I LIKE ME BOOK ACTIVITIES AND TEACHING IDEAS
I Like Me is a picture book about a pig who has positive self esteem. She tries her best, often makes mistakes, but keeps on trying and learning. She likes things about herself, has fun activities she enjoys, and has a real growth mindset. This read aloud is great to use for an All About Me theme as well!
These book activities have students work on making text to self connections, writing, story elements, giving opinions and advice, author's purpose, main idea, making inferences, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and much more!
These book activities can be used for whole class learning, during small group guided reading time, as individual student work, or as part of a book club. Copy a pack for each student and you're ready to go!
These companion activities offer differentiation, are no prep, and are great to leave for a sub.
I LIKE ME CRAFT
The unit includes a craft that makes a great bulletin board display, to showcase student learning!
