Communicating with the parents of your students is an essential component in building up the teacher-parent relationship. And a strong partnership will allow you to work together in the education of their children. But communicating with parents can also be a little daunting!
Many teachers utilize a variety of ways to touch base with parents. Here are just a few:
-phone calls
-emails
-parent/teacher conferences
-sending notes home
-social media
-class websites
-school websites
-Google classroom
-information nights
-classroom newsletters
I wanted to share that I have recently made some FULLY EDITABLE resources that are perfect for keeping parents informed about what is happening in your classroom!
EDITABLE CLASS INFORMATION PACK
This class information pack is perfect to send home at the beginning of the year, or to distribute on a meet-the-teacher night.
Simply type over the text boxes in the product to add relevant information about you and your class. It's great for sharing classroom expectations, wish lists, communication information, school policies, class supply lists, and anything else you want to share! Include as many (or few) pages as you wish. It's completely customizable, so you can personalize everything...even the headers!
EDITABLE MONTHLY NEWSLETTERS
I have also created an editable monthly newsletter pack, where you can share more detailed information with your students' parents.
You can customize each month's newsletter by typing over the text boxes. Even the headers and month names are editable! They can be one or two sided...the possibilities are endless!
