I have taught in the primary grades, and I know that writing is not everyone's favorite thing to do. In fact, some students really dread it! I believe it's because they are fearful of making mistakes. I created some primary writing packs that are filled with tools that take the fear right out of writing. I bundled them up for use in Kindergarten and First Grade.
Let's start with Kindergarten, shall we?
This pack is chock full of writing options to provide differentiation. Students can choose to trace letters or work on name printing. They may feel ready to copy word lists {especially those who fear making mistakes in their writing}. Maybe your little learners need to move about the classroom, and so they choose to write-the-room. Maybe they are creative and just need a little nudge with some writing prompts or sticker pictures. And there are always those who LOVE to make books, and can use some of the stationery or book-making templates to get their stories out. Editing tools are included too!

The First Grade pack includes many of the same components, but branches out to include story builders, story starters, and poetry.
I have used them in my classroom, and know that kids find them FUN...and no longer complain about 'having to write'. And as a teacher, I am loving that the activities are spiraled, kid-friendly, and will take me through the WHOLE YEAR. Who doesn't love that!
