FRIGHT CLUB
I just LOVE Fright Club by Ethan Long! It's a great read aloud for Halloween, with a focus on friendship and inclusion. It's perfect for a Kindergarten, First Grade, and Second Grade class.
FRIGHT CLUB BOOK ACTIVITES AND TEACHING IDEAS
The characters that make up "Fright Club" are practicing their spooky sounds and moves for Halloween. They are working on 'Operation Kiddie Scare', where they plan to go out on Halloween night and scare all of the children. Only there's a problem...they aren't that scary, and need LOTS of practice!
While the Fright Club practices for Operation Kiddie Scare, they hear a knock on the door. Some sweet little creatures are at the door, and want to join Fright Club. But are they SCARY enough???
My Fright Club book study unit contains companion activities that help to connect this engaging read aloud with important reading skills.
These activities will enrich your reading curriculum as students develop their literacy experience and reading comprehension skills while participating in activities that are fun and engaging.
Your students will work on story elements, character traits, story retell, making text to self connections, defining the author's purpose, working on reading comprehension activities, and much more!
This companion unit will save you tons of time, is no prep, and is great to leave for a sub!
FRIGHT CLUB CRAFTS
This Fright Club book unit includes a craftivity for EVERY character in Fright Club!!!! The crafts make a fun seasonal bulletin board display to showcase student learning.
This book study unit can be used for whole class learning, during small group guided reading time, as individual student work, or as part of a book club. Copy a pack for each student and you're ready to go!
