FROGGY GETS DRESSED
A favorite winter book in our Kindergarten class is Froggy Gets Dressed by Jonathan London. It is touches on winter and hibernation and getting dressed for outdoor winter activities... and silliness!
FROGGY GETS DRESSED BOOK ACTIVITIES AND TEACHING IDEAS
Froggy wakes up from his winter sleep and notices it is snowy outside. His mother reminds him that he should be sleeping, but Froggy is excited to go outside and see what winter is like.
To get ready for his winter fun, Froggy has to put on some warm winter clothes. He puts a few on, then hops outside to play in the snow.
Froggy's mother calls out to him, noticing he is not fully dressed to play outside in the snow. Oops! Froggy hops back inside to put on some more clothes.
The story goes on in the same way, with Froggy heading outside missing clothing, and his mother calling him back inside to put on what he's missed. Of course the highlight of the story is when his mother yells out to Froggy that he forgot to put on his underwear!
Froggy gets tired of constantly going inside and back outside again and finally gives up, heading back to bed to continue his winter sleep.
