CLICK CLACK BOO BOOK ACTIVITIES AND TEACHING IDEAS
Poor Farmer Brown, though, does not like Halloween. Witches, pirates, flickering jack-o-lanterns...it's all too spooky for him. Farmer Brown would rather just leave a bowl of candy on the front porch and lock himself inside the house.
The barnyard animals, on the other hand, are ready to celebrate! They are in the barn, setting up for a Halloween party.
Farmer Brown hears strange noises outside. It's the animals heading to the Halloween party in the barn, but it scares Farmer Brown. He hops in bed and pulls the covers over himself. Then he hears a tap on the front door. He sees an invitation to the Halloween party. What will he do?
I have created a set of literacy companion activities that help to connect Click Clack Boo with important reading skills. This book activities unit will enrich your reading curriculum as students develop their literacy experience and reading comprehension skills while doing activities that are fun and engaging.
Your students will engage in activities that develop story vocabulary, define the author's purpose, recognize the author's purpose, notice cause & effect relationships, and show their understanding with comprehension questions.
This book study unit can be used for whole class learning, during small group guided reading time, as individual student work, or as part of a book club. Copy a pack for each student and you're ready to go!
This Click Clack Boo companion unit will save you tons of lesson planning time, is no prep, and is great to leave for a sub!
