VACATION JOURNAL
Don't you just love it when parents announce that they will be pulling their child out of class to go on vacation with little to no notice?! And could you please pull together a few things they can work on while they're away?
Yeah, I don't like that either!
It has happened to me so often during my teaching career that I finally created this resource- it's quick to prep and ready to send with my students on a moment's notice!
This Student Vacation Journal has students writing about their vacation as they are away from class. Writing prompts on each page help to guide their ideas.
You may wish to add words to the Word Bank at the bottom of the page if you'd like students to use certain words in their writing. This would be useful for spelling word practice, sight word learning, or whatever you like!
There are also pages without the Word Bank option, where students will write about the prompt using their own words, and of course add illustrations to their writing.
The Vacation Journal includes twelve pages. There are boy and girl cover options included! The pack includes a journal with the Word Bank option and a journal without the Word Bank option.
Next time a parent tells you they are pulling their child out of your class for a family vacation on short notice, you'll be ready for it! Have a few copies on hand in your filing cabinet. No more scrambling for student work on a moment's notice!
