INVISIBLE STANLEY BOOK ACTIVITIES AND TEACHING IDEAS
Stanley's family can't see him at all! They decide to have Stanley carry a balloon around so that they know where he is. Dr. Dan does not know how to fix Stanley, but confirms that eating by a window during a storm seems to have caused the problem.
Arthur is jealous that once again his brother Stanley gets all of the attention. Stanley tries to cheer Arthur up by helping him be the star of a talk show that was to feature Invisible Stanley.
Stanley also uses his invisible powers for good when he helps a boy win a bike race and helps a shy young man propose to his girlfriend.
Stanley also helps the police capture a pair of bank robbers! He was able to show the police where the stolen money was hidden without the bank robbers noticing.
Stanley eventually grew tired of being invisible. He didn't like that people kept bumping into him or that he had to carry a balloon everywhere. He was upset that no one remembered what he looked like anymore, including himself!
Arthur had an idea of how Stanley could become visible again. Mr. and Mrs. Lambchop and Arthur made a 'storm' using flashlights, running water, and creating thunderous noise using skillets. Stanley ate some food by the window, trying to recreate the instance when he became invisible. Slowly Stanley reappeared! Arthur encouraged Stanley to try and stay regular for a while.
