WRITING ACTIVITIES UNIT FOR FIRST AND SECOND GRADE

Looking for a comprehensive writing unit for First Grade or Second Grade? It's here! In this unit, students will write narratives, opinion pieces, and write to inform. This unit is perfect for a writing center or as new learning during writing instruction! 

Instead of students drumming fingers on desks thinking what to write about, this unit provides writing prompt cards, packed with writing ideas to choose from. There are 20 writing prompts for narrative writing, 20 prompt cards for opinion writing, and 20 writing prompt cards that provide informational writing suggestions.

The pack includes writing stationery, where students can write their narratives, opinion pieces, and informational writing. There is a space for the title, writing lines, and a page for the second (back) side. At the bottom of the writing stationery is a checklist, where students can remind themselves to include the key elements they need in their writing.

This writing unit also includes editing tools, which can be used for self, peer, and teacher editing.
