HOW TO CATCH THE EASTER BUNNY
How to Catch the Easter Bunny by Adam Wallace is a FUN book to share with your students during the Easter season! It's a great read aloud for Kindergarten and First Grade.
It's by the same author as How to Catch a Leprechaun!
HOW TO CATCH THE EASTER BUNNY BOOK ACTIVITIES AND TEACHING IDEAS
In this story, children devise various plans and traps as they attempt to trick the Easter Bunny, trying to catch him for his basket of goodies!
I love how this book sparks creativity and plan-making while being FUN :)
This book companion pack has LOTS of supplemental activities to go along with this class favorite. It's packed with fun ideas and guided reading literacy activities, and is aligned to Common Core, TEKS, and VA SOL learning standards.
These book companion activities can be used for whole class learning, during small group guided reading time, as individual student work, or as part of a book club. Just print and go!
With these activities, students will use How to Catch the Easter Bunny as they participate in tons of literacy activities, including learning story elements, doing vocabulary activities, making text-to-self connections, and sharing their opinions.
Students will also do writing activities, show story comprehension, and get creative as they design Easter eggs and Easter Bunny traps!
HOW TO CATCH THE EASTER BUNNY CRAFT
This Easter Bunny craft has students sharing their Easter Bunny-catching plans! This writing craft is perfect as an Easter bulletin board display, to showcase student learning.
I have always found that students respond to Guided Reading instruction in a more positive way when doing a book study vs using a basal reader. What I also have found is that after doing a book study, students will seek out other books by that author. It makes me so happy when students are inspired to read even more!
